Scented Candles
Ada Johanna scented candles combine the art of Grasse perfumery with Estonian craftsmanship. Thoughtfully composed scents and understated design create a calm atmosphere at home and make a considered gift.
How to choose a perfumed candle
A perfumed candle combines the warmth of candlelight with a beautifully composed fragrance. Ada Johanna perfumed candles are made with the finest fragrances from the Grasse region of France and a blend of soy and coconut wax. The candles are handcrafted in Estonia.
Ada Johanna fragrances are described through the top, heart and base notes familiar from perfumery. These describe the different aromatic layers of a fragrance and give a clearer idea of its overall character.
Which Ada Johanna perfumed candle should I choose?
Amelie is woody and spicy. Pine, orange and eucalyptus meet clove and spices, with vanilla and amber in the base.
Andrea is a green floral fragrance in which marine notes and galbanum meet violet, jasmine, rose and white musk.
Luna belongs to the amber fragrance family. Notes of apple, coffee and bergamot are complemented by neroli and jasmine, with vanilla, musk and amber completing the composition.
Sophie is a fruity fragrance in which apricot, plum and peony meet jasmine, patchouli and rose. The base notes are amber, vanilla and Japanese snowbell.
Victoria is a fresh citrus fragrance with bergamot, lime and mandarin. Jasmine, basil and plum add character, while amber, musk and sandalwood form the base.
All five fragrances are available as 140 g candles. Amelie, Andrea and Sophie are also available as 220 g perfumed candles in a gift box.
How should I burn a perfumed candle?
On the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface of the candle to prevent tunnelling. Before each subsequent burn, trim the wick to approximately 5 mm.
Never leave a burning candle unattended or move it while the wax is liquid. Keep the candle away from children, pets, draughts and flammable materials.
